Guess this would be a good opportunity for us all to come clean and list what we had this holiday weekend.

Red meat, sausage gravy biscuits, too many gin and tonics

Guess this would be a good opportunity for us all to come clean and list what we had this holiday weekend.

1 1/2 a pizzas (not all at once).
    2 Italian sausage sandwiches.
A 2 scoop ice cream cone (waffle cone).
Home Made Chicken Fried Rice (1 chicken breast, 1 cup of rice and vegetables, and a mix of spices, soy sauce and olive oil (to stir fry the meat)).

2 cups of a mix of mangos and strawberries ... again spread out over the weekend not all in one sitting.

1 Wendy's Quarter pound double stack, and a value fries.

I also drank about 3 gallons of water over the course of the weekend.

I attended "Chocolate Fest" and the only chocolate I had was in my Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.

I skip meals all the time, and I speed eat, those two things more then any of the others are what gets me.

You had a good weekend, MJV!

Well you were honest and did try to add the good value of the home made fried rice, water and fresh fruit. Skipping meals can lead to binges, for sure!

    Thanks for sharing.

Article is applicable to women as much as men.

I try to stay away from pre-packaged foods as much as possible, but during the summer it gets much harder to do. I coach 2 different fast-pitch girls softball teams, so that in itself takes up 4 nights a week (including games and practices), plus I do 2 hours twice a week working out (martial arts), which shares one night with softball, but the other is separate from softball. It is a rare night that I get home before 8pm (after leaving for work around 7am, and martial arts nights extend that out to about 9:30pm ... my only "free" day is Sunday (as one of the teams plays on Saturday's as well.

I speed eat because to tell the truth, I hate eating, I do however love cooking, and food in general, I just hate taking the time to eat.

Yep, no one ever said eating right is an easy activity! LOL At least you know what you are doing and why.

Good outlet with the softball team!

Good outlet with the softball team!

Between various levels of Little League Baseball, and Fast Pitch Softball, I've been coaching now for almost 16 years, I've also been umpiring (baseball and softball) for 10 years now.

I just re-joined the martial arts after a 23 year hiatus. You don't realize how much you miss something until you go back to it. In my opinion, the worst mistake I ever made in my life is quitting the martial arts 23 years ago.

Well MJV, with all that activity you should be burning off everything you eat! You need it all!

LOL .. you'd think so wouldn't you ... too bad the 30 extra pounds of 'spare tire' doesn't know that.
